Profile
Lea is a project developer and manager with a focus on culture, creative industries and start-up ecosystems.
Having studied creative industries in different metropoles, Lea felt curious about the creative landscapes of rural areas, such as her hometown. As a result, she researched on the topic “creative economy beyond the metropolis” and made it her passion to initiate change on site.
In 2017, Lea was the founder and organiser of the event series XO TALK. The multi-stakeholder project aimed at the communal recognition of creativity as a resource for cities, economy and communities. The five editions were launch pads for new initiatives, support structures, events as well as urban planning projects.
Lea focuses deeply on the question of how art and innovation come into the world: What makes successful communities, startup hubs, event series, festivals, and creative spaces thrive? How do innovation ecosystems emerge? With an academic background in economics, Lea has been involved in and contributed to projects in Sydney, Amsterdam, Pristina, and Paderborn.
Today, she shares her expertise as a freelancer at conferences, conducts workshops, develops immersive events and creative spaces – including in her hometown of Paderborn.
